Niche Web Site Promotion Basics: Part 3

Niches can frequently be advertised locally. For example, any health-related niche web site can be advertised using posters in local health centers, gyms or leisure centers. Adverts in local shopping centers and stores are frequently productive for all types of niches, and magazines devoted to specific themes are always willing to accept adverts for a price.

Local hobby clubs and groups are a good source of customers and a much overlooked means of advertising your niche is eBay. You can put a few inexpensive items for sale on eBay, even short ebooks on your niche, and advertise your web site on the eBay About Me page. You cannot advertise directly on your sellers About Me page, but can direct visitors to your latest newsletter. This can be a very good source of visitors highly focused on your niche.

Finally, you can use all the normal web site promotion techniques to advertise your niche web site. Techniques such as using a proper signature containing your URL in all of your electronic communications, joining forum groups and putting a blog on your website. A blog is great for keeping people interested in your web site and keeping them informed of any additions or changes made to your site.

Niche web site promotion is similar to the promotion of any other type of web site, though you are able to target the advertising better to specific groups that are interested in the topic of your niche. The more popular your niche, the more important is your own specific niche marketing strategy.
